Like adults, many children and adolescents are faced with obstacles throughout their developmental years.  These bumps along the way may result in strong feelings, emotions, and behaviors that affect their lives and their loved ones around them. Parents, caregivers, siblings, extended family members, and friends are often worried when a child or adolescent is having difficulty coping with a certain situation, is feeling hopeless or sad, is having a hard time sleeping, attending school, or getting along with a peer or family member. Although these hardships may sometimes seem impossible to overcome, there is hope and the good news is, they can be treated.

Anxiety and Depression Treatment Center at Freedom From Fear - Located at Freedom From Fear's Staten Island headquarters, this program specializes in the treatment of children and adolescents who suffer from a variety of different mental health concerns. Some of the mental health illnesses that children/adolescents suffer from are anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder), ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), and so forth.
